Rain effectees compensate in Khyber

LANDI KOTAL: Forty two families recently affected by torrential rain in district Khyber were granted financial support last day.

 In the light of the announcement made by the Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to help the rain affectees, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) paid 15.4 million rupees to the deserving families in Khyber.

In this connection in a simple gathering held in (Khyber House), Deputy Commissioner (DC), Office, former parliamentarian and local leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz(PML-N) Haji Shahjee Gul Afridi and ex-Member Provincial Assembly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bilawal Afridi distributed cheques among the affected tribesmen.

DC, Khyber Capt (Retd) Sanaullah, rain effectees, local leadership of PML-N, tribal elders and other officials were among the participants of the moot.

Speaking on the occasion Haji Shahjee Gul Afridi said that the incumbent government of PML-N was aware of the miseries of the rain effectees and would never leave them in that time of need and every possible assistance would be provided to them.

The tribesmen thanked the Prime Minister for the provision of forthwith relief to them.
