Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 to hit cinemas on October 29
MUMBAI: Superstar Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 has been in the news ever since its very first announcement. The film was supposed to release in December 2017 but was later shifted to January 26 and then April 2018.
The film is ready to hit the screens on November 29. This was the mega announcement made by Lyca Productions and filmmaker Shankar He said that the VFX firm working on the shots finally confirmed their date of delivery.
2.0 is the first one of Akshay Kumar in Tamil langauge. He plays the bad guy, the ominous crow. The superstar also happily conveyed the news to all. The film has the Tamil superstar as a robot and Akshay as the villain.
The film is the sequel to 2010 Tamil film Enthiran that also did wonders at the box office. 2.0 is a science fiction and it is originally being made in Hindi and Tamil. Akshay will be seen playing the role of an antagonist in the film. Apart from Khiladi Kumar, Rajinikanth, the movie also features Amy Jackson.
Touted as one one of the most expensive films of the Indian cinema, a whopping Rs 40 crore are being spent only on the film’s promotions, reports suggest.
There are many reasons for the fans to get excited for the film. Akshay and Rajini’s collaboration being one of them. It is yet to be seen if the film manages to earn good amount at the box office.
