Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy complete shooting of ‘Made In China’

MUMBAI: Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy’s film, Made In China, has wrapped up its last leg of shoot. The film will bring the fresh pairing of Rajkummar and Mouni together on the big screen for the first time. An excited Mouni took to social media to share a picture with the cast and crew of the film. She expressed, ‘Oh what a trippppp! MADE IN CHINA.’ (Sic) In the picture shared by Mouni, one can see Rajkummar and her flashing their brightest smiles as they complete the shooting of the film.

Mouni and Rajkummar will play a married couple, called  Rukmini and Raghu respectively in Made In China. The comedy is based on the life of a struggling Gujarati businessman, whose wife pushes him to go to China to expand his business. The film is directed by debutant director, Mikhil Musale. Initially, the film was supposed to release on Independence Day 2019 but now the date has been pushed to August 30, 2019.

Reportedly, Rajkummar  and Mouni will be recreating a Gujarati folk song titled Odhani Odhu in the film. Made In China has been extensively shot in Ahmedabad, China, and Mumbai.

Besides Made In China, Rajkummar will be seen in the horror comedy, Rooh Afza opposite Janhvi Kapoor. He will also be seen in Mental Hai Kya with Kangana Ranaut. While Mouni Roy was last seen in RAW: Romeo Akbar Walter opposite John Abraham,  she will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Reportedly, Mouni has bagged her fifth Hindi film Bole Chudiyan opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
