Rangers stay in Punjab extended by two months

LAHORE (NNI): Rangers’ stay in Punjab has been extended by two more months on Friday.

The decision has been taken by the cabinet’s special committee of law and order in a meeting.

Now Rangers will continue assisting the provincial government in execution of Operation Radd-ul-Fassad and other operations against terrorists.

Duration of Rangers’ posting in Punjab had expired on August 22.

This should be noted that a big cricketing event is going to be held in Lahore next month which would be participated by top-class players from around the world, hence high security and intelligence would be required to successfully stage the event.
