F.P. Report

LAHORE: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed announced to add twenty more trains in the Pakistan Railways fleet within six months.

Addressing a press conference at the Railways Headquarters in Lahore here today, the minister said loss of the PR has shrunk; more steps were underway to put it on the right track.

Shedding light on efforts being taken to upgrade Pakistan Railways, he said a link is being established with Karachi railway station from Durgai, while Durgai to Nowshera Kohat railway station link will also be established. Rasheed said five railway engines are undergoing repair in China and vowed to add twenty more trains in the PR fleet.  “Overseas Pakistanis will be welcomed if they want to invest in the PR”, he continued.

In order to provide relief to the under privileged section of the society, the minister said a new train is being introduced for them, which will make stops at smaller stations too. “14 freight trains will be introduced soon”, Rasheed contented. Commenting on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sheikh Rasheed said he forgave Bilawal twice but not the 3rd time.

“Their assets are abroad, businesses are in abroad, whereas their ring pistons have become out of order and nut bolts are in England”, he continued. The Minister has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif is playing on both sides of the wicket.

Sheikh Rashee said that Shehbaz Sharif had refrained himself from the politics of ex-prime minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif.

The minister said that he has forgiven Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. “I am jihadist and proud of it,” he added.
