Ravinder Singh gunned down in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Unknown assailants killed Ravinder Singh, the brother of Journalist Harmeet Singh in the jurisdiction of Chankani police station in Peshawar.

Police official said that deceased Ravinder Singh had come to Peshawar from Shangla area for shopping for his wedding which was fixed for next week to be held.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Zahoor Babar Afridi assured the bereaved family at Khyber Medical College during post mortem that police will thoroughly investigate the case. He told the family of Ravinder Singh that culprits involved in the crime will be traced soon.

Tavinder Singh told while lodging report with Chamkani police station that he received a phone call from the number of Ravinder Singh on Saturday night and that unidentified culprits told him that they have killed Ravinder Singh and thrown his body in Chamkani area.

As per first information report (FIR) lodged in police station that unknown culprits killed Ravinder Singh and thrown his bullet-ridden body in Chamkani area of Peshawar. The police reached the site of the incident and collected evidences to trace the perpetrators. The body was handed over to the deceased’s family after post mortem.
