PESHAWAR: Rehman College Dentistry (RCD) hosted a conference for Dentofacial Deformity Orthodontic Surgical Interface. The event was jointly organized by Khyber College of Dentistry (KCD), Pakistan Association of Orthodontists and Rehman College of Dentistry.
Well renowned oral surgeons, pediatric dentists, orthodontist and other dental professionals from across Pakistanattended the event and addressed key issues faced by patients with dentofacial deformity, including cleft lip & palate, need for liaison of specialties, team approach towards management and latest modalities of treatment of such cases.
Keynote speakers of the event included Prof. Dr. Ambreen Afzal from Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine, Karachi. Prof Dr Anwar A. Shah from Shifa International Hospitals Islamabad, Dr. Zubair Durrani from RCD and Brig. Dr GulzarBukhari from Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry.
The conference also included 5 workshops pertaining to different facets of the diagnosis and management of dentofacial deformity. The activity aims to equip the attending professionals with the advanced skills and techniques utilized in the management of dentofacial deformity patients.
Consultants from Rehman Medical Institute (RMI), students and professionals from other institutes also participated in the event. Chief Guest of the event distributed shields and certificates amongst the speakers and participants towards the end of the event.
