LONDON: Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz has said that she is ready for any punishment for the path she has taken for the democracy in the country.
Maryam said this while talking to media persons in London. While responding to a question she said that she is ready to go to prison.
She added that she is not scared of anything as I know that we have to pay price for the path which we taken for the country.
Maryam’s comments come a day after the accountability court, hearing the Avenfield reference against the Sharif family, had reserved its verdict in the case.
The verdict will be announced on July 6.
The Avenfield reference, pertaining to the Sharif family’s London properties, is among three filed against the Sharif family by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) last year on the Supreme Court’s directives.
