Registration of four FIRs within 10 minutes: PHC directs to conduct inquiry against police

PESHAWAR: Justice SM Attique Shah of Peshawar High Court (PHC) directed Advocate General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to conduct inquiry against policemen of Gulburg police station for registering four different First Information Reports within 10 minutes at same place, on Wednesday.

The counsel Fazal Wahid Advocate informed that Gulburg police has arrested petitioner Shah Saud on 22 April while claimed recovery of 500 grams Ice-drug and showed the place of arrest as Betak (place for men) of petitioner and added that same has registered another case after 10 minutes by arresting petitioner’s son along with three persons from the same place.

Justice Syed Muhammad Attique Shah inquired from Additional Advocate General Saqib Raza regarding truthfulness of the case while Station House Officer Islam Shah, Sub Inspector Haider Raza and Assistant Sub Inspector Imran along with other personnel appeared before court.

During hearing honorable court directed Advocate General Shumail Butt for appearance and directed to conduct inquiry regarding registering of four FIRs within 10 minutes at same time while granted bail to Shah Saud as plea taken in the writ petition.
