Rejection of amendment bill in NA is not a victory of PML-N: Sheikh Rasheed

KARACHI: Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML), Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said after the rejection of Election Bill 2017, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was aware regarding the rift in the party as more than 40 members of the party were not present in the assembly during the counting.

This he said after the rejection of PPP amendments bill on Tuesday. Rasheed said the rejection of a amendment bill in National assembly is not a victory of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and despite transferring and posting on members choices and given them bribe of millions of development funds still 40 members were missing during the session.

The National Assembly on Tuesday rejected a proposed amendment bill seeking to stop the disqualified members from leading a political party.

Rasheed told that he filed a petition against disqualified person to lead a political party and its hearing is scheduled on Wednesday.
