Renowned Sindhi folk literature writer Mithal Jathial passes away at 65

LARKANA: Muhammad Mithal Jathial, a renowned writer of Sindhi folk literature, died Thursday at 65 after a prolonged illness in Larkana.

 

Mithal Jathial was the author of four books on folk literature. He obtained several literary awards including Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai Award, Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz Award, and Sachal Sarmast Award.

 

His funeral prayers and burial will take place in his ancestral village Tatri.
