Representatives of Pakistan and China discuss Afghanistan

KABUL (Khaama Press): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan said that additional Foreign Secretary (Afghanistan & West Asia) Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureh met with Chinese special envoy for Afghanistan, Yue Xiaoyong.
The Ministry said on X that they underscored their commitment to a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.
“They underscored their commitment to a peaceful & stable Afghanistan and emphasized the need for enhanced coordination for regional stability. They also underlined the crucial role of neighbouring countries of Afghanistan for a peaceful, stable & prosperous region,” the ministry added.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Emirate said the stability in the country provides a good opportunity for neighboring countries and asked the countries to increase their diplomatic and economic relations with Afghanistan.
“The countries of the region should cooperate in this regard, because the security of Afghanistan has a direct impact on the entire region, and the economic situation of Afghans has an impact on the situation of the region. Improving the security is good for all,” said Zabihullah Mujahid, the Islamic Emirate spokesman.
According to some political analysts, the role of neighboring countries, especially China and Pakistan, are important in establishing permanent stability in Afghanistan.
“Regional consensus is not in the top row in terms of legislation since we can arbitrarily pursue our policy. However, given that Afghanistan has gained peace after 45 years, the regional nations may contribute to the national consensus that we think is beneficial for our country,” Moeen Gul Samkanai, a political analyst told TOLOnews.
“Not only the role of representatives of Pakistan and China regarding affairs of Afghanistan will be important, but the role of all neighboring countries are important in the peace and stability of Afghanistan if they think honestly,” Aziz Marij, another political analyst, told TOLOnews.
Seyed Rasoul Mousavi, Iran’s assistant to the Foreign Minister, in a meeting with the Chinese special envoy for Afghanistan, Yue Xiaoyong, spoke on Beijing’s policy in Afghanistan.
He said on X: “Understanding China’s strategy and policy in Afghanistan is not easy and requires knowledge of the components of China’s global strategy and the regional implementation of that strategy.”
