Resettlement of terrorists: ANP seeks establishment of judicial commission

PESHAWAR: A writ petition has been filed for establishment of Inquiry Commission to place responsibility of resettlement of terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Peshawar High Court (PHC).
The petition filed by Babar Khan Yousafzai and Hizar Hayat Khan Advocates on behalf of Awami National Party (ANP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Aimal Wali Khan at PHC.
President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi, former Prime Minister Imran Khan, former Director General Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed, Former Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan and former provincial advisor Barrister Saif while current federal and provincial governments are also made respondents in the petition.
The writ stated that to establish inquiry commission against resettlement of terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and identification of responsible persons while to public agreements made with ban outfits because all respondents confessed resettlement of extremists in the province at different forums.
The inquiry committee must be provided stipulated framework to identify facts and figures under the chair of Chief Justice PHC to conclude judicial commission report in this regard. A divisional bench of PHC will hear the writ petition in upcoming days.
