PESHAWAR: Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Television (PTV) informed Peshawar High Court that restructuring of PTV will be concluding within three months, on Thursday.
Managing Director PTV appeared on direction of Peshawar High Court before court and informed that contract of restructuring is allotted to Abacos consultant which domestic based but associated international firms.
During hearing Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Qaiser Rashid remarked that why should you expose every institute to foreigners and added that domestic problem must be address locally.
Managing Director informed that PTV has 25 years old structure which cannot compete with modern technologies and global world.
Chief Justice remarked that recruitments have been on political affiliation which has damage the PTV.
Managing Director PTV informed that the state TV was in debt before his appointment but now it is profitable institution after two years of his appointment.
The two-member bench comprising of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Qaiser Rashid and Justice Syed Arshad Ali adjourned further hearing till 8 September.
