Resumption of substantive peace talks

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Taliban have evinced a keen interest in holding meaningful peace negotiations talks with the government team in Doha, a media report said on Monday.
The resumption of substantive talks in coming days would the deadlock in the peace process, citing unnamed sources close to the insurgent movement. The militant outfit planned to take part in the Istanbul summit on Afghanistan, but wanted the negotiations to continue in Qatar’s capital, TOLOnews said.
Afghan government and Taliban negotiators met last week after a long pause. The Taliban desired the continuation of serious negotiations in Doha.
