LANDI KOTAL: Oath taking ceremony of the returning officers appointed for national and provincial assemblies’ seats election for conducting of upcoming general election in Deputy Commissioner, (DC) Khyber office last day.
DC, Khyber Sanaullah and District Election Commissioner Shahid Ali administered oath to the appointed officials.
As per the press release Additional DC(finance) Hasseb-ur-rehman was posted as returning officer for national assembly seat NA-27 while Assistant Commissioners(AC) Landi Kotal Irshad Mohmand, AC Bara Shahbuddin , AC Jamrud Dr Amir Zeb besides education and other administration departments officers were assigned duties of returning officers for provincial assemblies seats PK -69,70 and 71.
Later on, returning officers for NA-27 and PK -69, 70 and 71 publicized notices last evening, quoting the Election Commission of Pakistan stating that candidates can submit their nomination papers from 20 December 2023 to 22 December. From 24 December to 30 December scrutiny of the documents will be held. On 12 January 2024 a candidate can get back his candidature while on 13 January election signs will be allotted and general election will be held on 08 February 2024.
