Road side construction materials removed in parts

TIMERGARA: The Lower Dir administration on Wednesday launched a special drive against the roadside building materials and warned people of strict actions in future. The tehsil municipal officer Balambat Iqbal Hassan on special directives of deputy commissioner Shaukat Ali Yousafzai removed all types of building materials from road in his jurisdiction in order to ensure smooth flow of traffic. The Adenzai TMO Shakil Hayat also cleared the road side of construction materials.

The Timergara TMO Pervez Akhtar and assistant commissioner Shah Jamil Khan removed all roadside encroachments and kiosks. The team registered cases against 28 shop keepers. Also in the day the additional assistant commissioner revenue Timergara Tariq Hussain inspected various shops at Bandagai Talash bazaar and checked price lists, quality, quantity of food items and their expiry dates. The AAC booked several shopkeepers for selling sub standard food items and overcharging commuters on the spot.

Meanwhile MPA from PK-14 Humayun Khan along with district health officer Dr Shaukat Ali inaugurated skin and orthopedic OPD and installation of dialysis machine at the tehsil head quarter hospital Chakdara here on Wednesday. The hospital medical superintendent Dr Mukhtiar Ali and Adenzai tehsil nazim Qamar Zaman were also present. Speaking on the occasion the MPA said that patients’ health should be top priority of doctors and other staff. He said the hospitals should utilize the available machinery in order to prevent it of rusting. He appreciated the DHO and MS for their efforts to improve health care facilities in the area. The Adenzai tehsil nazim Qamar Zaman announced to provide Rs 800,000 to THQ hospital Chakdara for purchasing vaccines.
