Roadside blast hits convoy

KANDAHAR CITY: A roadside bomb hit the troops convey in the Daman district on Sunday morning, an official said.

Police spokesman Zia Durrani told Afghan media that the convoy of NATO Resolute Support (RS) was patrolling in the area when struck a roadside bomb, there was no report of causalities in the blast, he said. Durrani said two civilians were wounded in the retaliatory firing from foreign forces The injured had been evacuated to the provincial hospital by ANA soldiers. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
