ISLAMABAD : A robber involved in looting cash vans has been killed in the encounter.
Three accomplices of the robber riding on a bike in Golra Mor fired on the police for recovery of the accused. In an exchange of firing by accomplices, the detained person died.
The police officers wearing bulletproof jackets remained unaffected. Police teams are raiding to arrest the attackers who tried to facilitate the robber’s escape in the police custody.
Islamabad Police arrested the thief who was involved in the robbery of cash vans at banks. The accused was shifted to Islamabad arresting him from Sargodha.
The police had recovered the looted cash, weapons and the motorcycle used in the robberies from the suspect. The accused was in police custody on physical remand.
The four incidents of bank robberies killed two and injured eight.
