KABUL: Unknown armed men robbed a local trader of $50,000 thousand after shooting him to death in broad daylight in Kabul city of Afghanistan.

The 55-year-old Hashmat Burhan, the owner of Pesaran-e-Burhan Company was shot dead by unknown gunmen at around 12:00pm local time close to Aryoub Cinema.

This is not the first time a trader is being killed by armed men in broad daylight in Kabul city but numerous such incidents have taken place in the past in other parts of the city. The government and security institutions have so far failed to arrest the perpetrators involved in major robbery and murder incidents.(Khaama Press
