Rs162bn for Karachi tall claims: Murad

F.P. Report

GARHI KHUDA BUX: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that he was not invited to a recent meeting of Prime Minister held at Governor House.

Talking to media here on Tuesday after offering Fateha at the graves of Bhutto leaders, he said when the prime minister cannot control his ministers how he could reply my questions.

Shah arrived here to review arrangements for the of 40th death anniversary of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Shah said schemes of Rs162 billion for Karachi are just tall claims. He said they don’t have any expectations from Imran Niazi.

He said people should not be given commitments which are not meant to be fulfilled. He said such announcements were also made by two former prime ministers, Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi but practically nothing was received.

He said over Rs120 billion are to be given to Sindh, and now FBR itself is saying that they will not be able to collect Rs480 billion s due to which Sindh and other provinces will be badly affected. He said he don’t know why elected representatives of other three provinces are silent on this issue.

Shah said that NICVD is a project of Sindh Government but it will be affected due to meager resources besides other reasons, adding however, I am myself monitoring its expenditures.

Advisor Murtaza Wahab, Ramesh Lal and others were also present. Shah said he is unaware about the arrest of Muzaffar Tappi and he had watched such news on TV.
