Rs4.05 per unit increase in power tariff sought

ISLAMABAD: The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) on Friday requested to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for Rs4.5 per unit increase in the electricity prices.

If approved, it will put an additional burden of Rs59.45 billion on the consumers.

NEPRA will take up the petition for the hearing on May 31.
