ISLAMABAD (APP): The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee strengthened by 07 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday and closed at Rs 166.22 as compared to the last closing of Rs 166.29.
However, according to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs 166 and Rs 166.5 respectively.
The State Bank of Pakistan reported that in interbank trading, the price of euro depreciated by Rs 1.02 and closed at Rs 195.16 against the last day’s trading of Rs 196.18.
The Japanese Yen lost one paisa to close at Rs1.58, whereas a decrease of 0.60 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs 212.92 as compared to its last closing of Rs 213.52.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal also decreased by 02 paisa and 01 paisa to close at Rs 45.25 and Rs 44.32 respectively.
Gold price remains stable at Rs 114,700: The price of 24 karat gold witnessed no change on Tuesday and was traded at Rs 114,700.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams gold also remained stagnant at Rs 98,337, the Karachi Sarafa Association reported.
The price of per tola silver decreased by Rs 50 and it was traded at Rs 1,250 while that of 10 gram silver reduced by Rs 42.87 to Rs 1,071.67. The gold prices in the international market decreased by $25 to $1,907, the association reported.
