Russia rolls out first domestically-made onboard digital computer for drones

MOSCOW : A prototype of Russia’s first onboard digital computer module for drones is on display at the NAIS 2024 National Civil Aviation Infrastructure Exhibition and Forum, which has kicked off in Moscow, Almaz Antey Air and Space Defense Corporation Deputy General Director Dmitry Savitsky told Sputnik.

The module, which can be installed in various types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), is designed to control these drones, Savitsky said.

The device aims to unify onboard equipment using a domestically-made electronic component base, he explained, adding that the module is equipped with a real-time operating system.
