Russian Minister praises IE for fight against drugs

KABUL (Ariana News): Abdulhaq Hamkar, deputy minister of interior, met with his Russian counterpart in Kabul for talks, including discussions on counter-narcotics. According to the ministry of interior, Hamkar called on Russia for cooperation in helping to find an alternative for farmers who used to cultivate poppies. He also discussed the achievements accomplished by the Islamic Emirate in its fight against drugs. In turn the Russian official praised the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for its efforts and said Russia would cooperate with Afghanistan in its fight against drugs.
