Russia’s foreign trade surplus rises to $114.9B

MOSCOW (AA) : Russia’s foreign trade surplus increased by 11.55% in the first nine months of 2024 compared to the same period of 2023, reaching $114.9 billion.

During the January-September period, Russia’s exports increased by 0.41% compared to the same period of 2023 to $318.2 billion, while imports decreased by 5.2% to $203.3 billion, according to the Central Bank of Russia.

The country’s exports to European countries decreased by 23.3% to $50.1 billion, while imports from these countries fell 8.75% to $54.2 billion.

Russia’s exports to Asia increased by 6.4% to $240.3 billion, while imports from countries in the region decreased by 3.14% to $135.6 billion.


Russia’s foreign trade surplus decreased by 58.5% in 2023 compared to the previous year to $140 billion.
