MUMBAI: Saif Ali Khan has garnered a lot of appreciation for his web series Sacred Games that is streaming on Netflix currently.
Saif, however, was last seen on the big screen in Kaalakaandi that hit the theatres in January this year but unfortunately bombed at the box-office. The actor has not got a clear hit in a long time. His next, tentatively titled Hunter is an action thriller set in 1780, wherein Saif will be playing the role of a Naga Sadhu.
Talking about the film with a leading daily, the actor revealed, “Don’t get ideas. (laughs) I wear clothes even though I shouldn’t be because Naga means nanga. My character is a failed Naga sadhu, who has strong notions of revenge. The film is a drama set in Rajasthan. I even got my ears pierced for the role, which I was worried about initially. My hair has grown a lot. It bothered me throughout summer when I was shooting in Rajasthan’s sweltering heat.”
Saif also touched upon the experience of changing as a person during the filming of Hunter, he said, “My part in Hunter is that of a person who is an animal at heart a flat-footed wild fellow. Fifty days into the shoot and my spot boy also told me that something has changed in me. Some roles do that to you, I guess.” We wish the entire team of Hunter all the best and hope that it goes on to become a big box-office success.
