MUMBAI: Director Nitin Kakkar is on-track with his next project for the big screen. Saif Ali Khan has been in talks with the director for a long time now and seems like something has finally materialized that is being liked by both the parties.
Reports suggest that Nitin Kakkar’s next will have Saif and his daughter Sara Ali Khan essay the roles of father-daughter on screen. A source told a leading news agency that, “It’s a comical, but poignant take on the friendship and the equation that exists between a baap and his beti. But it will have a message, too.
“This will probably be Saif and Sara’s first film together. Both of them have liked the story and have verbally given their nod. Now, the modalities and the dates need to be sorted out. Sara and Saif were Nitin’s first choices and the makers thought it would make for an interesting casting coup.”
Sara will be making her debut with Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in November this year, after which she will be seen alongside Ranveer Singh in Simmba in December. Post these two films, it is expected that Sara will start her third project with Saif Ali Khan and director Nitin Kakkar.
