MJMBAI: Kareena Kapoor Khan has set an example for new age moms by returning to work so soon after Taimur’s delivery.
She’s starring in Veere Di Wedding, whose trailer is out now and her fans can enjoy her bindaas acting again. Kareena gives all the credit to her husband Saif Ali Khan who has been supportive and encouraging.
She said at the trailer launch of the film, “I think I’m very lucky to have a husband who is so understanding because apart from my producer, Rhea (Kapoor) who stood by me. I signed this film before I got pregnant. I had to call her up after two months that I’m pregnant and she needs to take someone else but I think the fact that they decided to still go with me. They changed the character to be pregnant (Laughs). Then I was like I can’t do this and it’s really difficult.
She adds further, “After that it’s Saif, who kind of pushed me and said, I think you should hit the gym and get back to the studio and take your son with you and set an example to a lot of mothers that yes, it is possible, you can do it. It’s been good till now, touch wood. I don’t know what the next step is going to be but this journey has been beautiful.”
