Saira for cooperation to make Saaf Dehaat Program successful

HAFIZABAD: Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar has stressed the need for cooperation of volunteers, citizens and chairman of union councils and councillors of Municipal Committees for making the ‘Saaf Dehaat Programme’ and Local Government Package, a big stress.

While visiting different Union Councils alongwith Deputy Commissioner, Saleha Saeed and other officers of the district, she said that provincial government has allocated Rs. 162 million for these two programmes for pavement of streets, provision of better sanitary conditions, potable water, erection of dumping sites and to eliminate pollution for ensuring better environments in their surroundings and to save them from different ailments.

She called upon all stake holders to work as a team for getting better results. She said that all the 46 union councils would be provided Rs. 2.5 million each while every councilor of wards in municipal committees would be provided Rs. 5 lakh each for the implementation of the projects under the said programmes.

She appreciated the DC and district administration for taking keen interest in making the programme, a big success.
