Sanaullah says PML-N to launch election campaign from January 15

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Former interior minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Punjab President Rana Sanaullah said on Wednesday that the party would start its election campaign under the leadership of former prime minister and its supremo Nawaz Sharif on January 15, 2024.

In his statement posted on X, he refuted reports that there were differences within the party over the distribution of tickets for the general elections scheduled to be held on February 8, 2024. “Consultations are in progress for awarding tickets in some constituencies,” he said, adding, “The final list of the candidates will be issued in a day or two.”

Dispelling the impression that the party was in the favour of delay in elections, PML-N stalwart said that free, fair and transparent elections should be held on time.
