ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani on Friday directed Ministry of Foreign Affairs to brief the Senate on restriction imposed by the United State (US) on the movements of Pakistani diplomats in Washington.
The Chairman Senate issued the instructions to the ministry on a point of public Importance, raised by Opposition leader Sherry Rehman.
She said that the House should be informed about steps taken by the government in this regard.
She said Pakistan is also reportedly considering to impose same restrictions on the US diplomats in the country.
She also said that there are reports that US had also stopped coalition support funds payment to Pakistan.
Sherry Rehman said she had served Pakistan as ambassador to the US and this was not aid but reimbursement and compensation.
She also criticized replacing of experienced diplomats in the US.
