LAHORE: Chairman Senate, Sadiq Sanjrani has said that he has no issue with the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as he is like an elder brother and can say anything what he likes about me.
This he said while talking to media persons after visiting Allama Iqbal’s tomb in Lahore.
A guard of honor was presented to Sanjrani for his arrival at Iqbal’s tomb. He laid a floral wreath on the tomb and offered prayers.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi urged the opposition to jointly nominate a new senate chairman and blamed the Sadiq Sanjrani for buying votes during the senate election.
Premier Abbasi alleged that on March 24 that the elected Senate Chairman holds no respect as votes as he bought the votes and grabbed a senate post.
Earlier on Sunday, the Senate chairman opted to travel to Lahore on a train in his first trip to the city since he took the post last month.
