Sara murder case: Court extends Shahnawaz’s physical remand for three days

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: District and sessions court in Islamabad on Monday extended the physical remand of Shahnawaz Amir, the main suspect in the murder case of his wife Sara Inam, for three more days.

A few hours ago, the same court extended the interim bail of Sameena Shah, the main suspect’s mother in the Sarah Inam murder case.

Additional Sessions Judge Sheikh Sohail heard the case and extended Sameena’s pre-arrest interim bail until Oct 7.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till Friday at the request of the father of slain Sarah Inam.

On September 26, 2022, a court in Islamabad had extended the physical remand of Shahnawaz Amir and his father Ayaz Amir for three days and one day, respectively.

Islamabad police had arrested Shahnawaz for allegedly murdering his Canadian national wife Sara over a ‘family issue’ with the help of dumbbells, a day after she arrived in Pakistan from Dubai.

Sara, 37, was the third wife of the alleged murderer. The incident took place at a farmhouse located in the capital’s Shahzad Town suburb where the suspect lived along with his mother.
