ISLAMABAD: The disqualified president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif has said that the result of the recent by-election of Sarghoda shows the people confidence and trust on the party and adding that no one can remove us by snatching our party symbol because people are with us.
This he said while talking to media persons outside the Accountability court on Monday in Islamabad. he was commenting on the recent decision of the apex court for stooping the PML-N members from contesting any elections as Pakistan Muslim League-N candidates.
Former premier complained that their lawmakers faced problems in recognizing own candidates as the party candidates were contesting the election as independent but still no one can stop us.
PML-N won the Sarghoda by-election by 20,000 votes which is the clear example that no one can erase us by snatching our symbols as the people are with Nawaz Sharif, he claimed.
Nawaz added that the result of Sarghoda election would be an eye opener for the rivals and others that if the injustice continues, the more public support and reaction will come in Nawaz favor.
The ouster prime minister added that now it is important to stand up to injustice because it is our country and we need to stand for our right.
