Saving other’s life is commendable, says Basharat Raja

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Local Government Muhammad Basharat Raja has said that the people who save lives of others by putting their own lives in danger are highly commendable.

He was addressing the pass out ceremony of Rescue 1122 at the Rescue 1122 Headquarter as chief guest on Friday. The ceremony was attended among others by the MPAs Ms. Mussarrat Jamshed Cheema and Ms. Uzma Kardar, Chairperson of CM taskforce for Women Protection & Development Ms. Tanzila Imran, Station Commander of Pak Navy Commodore Naimat Ullah, Special Secretary for Home Department Mr. Ihsan Ullah Bhutta and D.G Rescue 1122 Dr. Rizwan Naseer.

Greeting the Rescuers on getting successful training, Basharat Raja said that 15 years ago this great institution was founded by the former Chief Minister Ch. Parvez Elahi who necessarily establishment it under the Act instead of executive order to safe guard its existence.

It was due to that reasons that the next government could not abolish Rescue 1122 despite its dislikings.

He said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar had entirely different approach and believed in strengthening such public interest institutions.

Basharat Raja advised the Rescuers to implement their training lessons effectively in their practical and professional life to serve the aggrieved humanity.

The Provincial Minister assured Dr. Rizwan Naseer of his utmost legal and administrative assistance to resolve the issues and make the Rescue 1122 more useful and beneficiary in future.

Earlier on his arrival the Rescuers gave him guard of honour while Dr. Rizwan Naseer presented souvenirs to chief guest and other honourable guests while Raja Basharat delivered shields and prizes among the high achiever during the training.
