Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has accepted plea of Additional Attorney General (AAG) and DGFIA and given 5 days time to register the case against Hussain Haqqani in memogate scandal.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) inquired during the hearing that what steps have been taken to bring Hussain Haqqani back.
On which Additional Attorney General (AG) told that an important meeting was held under Attorney General (AG)CJP inquired that why the case has not been yet registered? Attorney General requested that 5 days time should be given to register the case.
Chief Justice also inquired what the reason behind delaying this case is. DG FIA prayed that 5 days time should be given to register the case. Court accepted the request of DG FIA Court directed “tell us on next hearing what steps were taken to bring Hussain Haqqani back. Court has adjourned the hearing for 15 days.
