PESHAWAR: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Australia Pakistan Chamber (APC), meant to strengthen bilateral trade relations, exchange of business delegations and taking full benefits from each other experiences.
The agreement was signed by SCCI president EngrMaqsood Anwar Pervaiz and APC President Muhammad Asif during a ceremony held at Pakistan Consulate Office in Sydney, according to a press release issued here on Wednesday. SCCI President of the chamber, Engr. Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz is currently on a visit to Australia
Mr Muhammad Ashraf, the Pakistani Consul General to Australia, MrAsadullahJatoi, Trade Development Officer, Joint Secretary, SarfrazAslam, Mohammed Abid, Treasurer, RizwanRana and Altaf Khan, members of the APC were present during the agreement signing ceremony.
EngrMaqsoodPervaiz while speaking on the said that the agreement between SCCI and APC is landmark step, which would give boost mutual trade and strengthen economic relations between Pakistan and Australia.
He thanked the APC for hosting luncheon ceremony and praised the cooperation of Pakistani consulate in bolstering mutual trade and economic ties between the two countries. He hoped that the agreement between the two chambers will pay way to take full benefits from potentials in Pakistan and Australia as well as further address with common challenges, which being faced by business community of the two countries.
Earlier, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf, the Consul General of Pakistan in Consulate office Sydney spoke on the occasion and emphasized the need for Pakistan business community to actively seek opportunities in Australia and offered his services to promote the Pakistani businesses in the local market place. He offered his full cooperation in building the business relationship between Pakistan & Australia.
Muhammad Asif highlighted the benefits of collaboration between SCCI and APC and vowed to strengthen the relations between the two chambers. He thanked Mohammad Ashraf, Consul General and AsadullahJatoi, Trade development Officer for hosting this event at Pakistan Consulate Office in Sydney.
Later, Muhammad Asif presented the trophy to Engr. Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz as a good gesture for visiting Australia and vice versa MrMaqsood also presented trophy to MrAsif on this memorable occasion.
