KARACHI: The exam schedule for Matric and Intermediate has been changed across Sindh while the passing marks have also been enhanced.
According to reports, this decision was taken by the Inter-Board Coordination Commission (IBCC) in the meeting on Monday.
The IBCC Chairman Ashraf Ali Shah presided over the meeting in which the chairmen of the education boards across the country participated and approved the change in the exams’ schedule.
According to the new schedule, matriculation exams in Sindh province will be held in March instead of May and the Inter exams will be held in March-end and April after the matric exams.
The meeting also approved the decisions of the previous meeting according to which the passing marks in the exams will be 40 per cent instead of 33 per cent.
While Quran education will also be compulsory at the matriculation level and chess will be included in inter-board games competitions.
