School owners in Karachi resent hike in annual renewal fee

F.P. Report

KARACHI: Schools’ owners in Karachi find themselves in a difficult situation after an increase in the renewal fee by the Secondary Education Board for the year 2022-23 to Rs8, 000, on Friday.

A man has told 24News that only recently he has opened a school in a two-room building.  “But increase in the renewal fee by the Board is not fair,” he complained.

Another problem is that schools’ owners, depositing the fee after the due date, will have to submit the challan as well.
