RIYADH: The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) has announced Al-Soudah Season in Asir region as part of the 2019 Saudi Seasons initiative, which was launched in February and includes 11 tourist seasons covering most of the Kingdom. The initiative is the first of its kind in the region, aiming to encourage domestic tourism.
Al-Soudah Season will take place in August. The area of Al-Soudah enjoys natural beauty, ranging from forests and highlands to its distinct climate.
Ahmed Al-Khatib, the chairman of SCTH, stressed that the 2019 Saudi Seasons would boost tourism development, activating the sector and providing temporary and permanent jobs.
