Security forces’ fire hurts 3 women

JALALABAD: Security forces’ fire injured at least three women while a boy and a woman were killed during separate incidents of violence, police and residents said Saturday.

Local residents opposed to the construction of a link road in the outskirts of Jalalabad hurled stones on security forces when they arrived in the area on Tuesday, Aminullah, a resident of Sheikh Misri village, told Afghan Islamic Press (AIP).

To disperse the protesters, the security forces opened aerial fire as a result three women sustained injuries, he told AIP. There was no word by local authorities in this regard.

In another incident, a 13-year-old seized by Daesh gunmen in Battu area of Darzab district, Jowzjan province, a month ago was killed, said Abdul Hafeez Khashi, security chief of Jozjan.

The slain boy named Rahimdad and used to visit police post to meet in his brother in law, he said, adding the Daesh gunmen beheaded the boy on these charges.

But sources said the gunmen shot dead the boy.

In Kunduz city, body of a woman was found. The woman had been strangled to death, said Niamatullah Taimouri, spokesman of Kunduz governor.
