Security forces foil terror attack on governor Balochistan: Sarfaraz Bugti

QUETTA: Balochsitan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has said that security forces foiled a terror attack on the provincial governor by conducting a raid in Qilla Abdullah district on Wednesday.

While talking to media persons, Bugti said that the law enforcement agencies raided in Gulistan area of Qilla Abdullah District and the arrested the suspects as they were planning to target the Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai.

He added that security forces also recovered two suicide jackets along with a huge amount of arms and ammunition from the possessions of the arrested suspects.

Bugti added that those involved in the recent terror attack in Quetta’s church will also be arrested very soon as operations are underway.

Earlier on last Sunday, at least nine members of the Christian community were killed and 57 others wounded when two suicide bombers struck a church in Quetta.
