Security forces thwart suicide attack in Quetta

QUETTA: Security forces have foiled an attempted suicide bomb attack and killed the attacker in Kuch Mor area of Quetta on Thursday morning.

Security forces took timely action after the receiving information and in the action the suicide bomber was killed. Forces told media that the suicide vest was attached to the attacker’s body.

Earlier on December 19, Quetta security forces had foiled a terror bid by diffusing a 20 kilogram (kg) improvised explosive device (IED).

The 20-kg bomb was in an empty tin. The bomb disposal squad immediately diffused the bomb. Police said an investigation has started into the case.
