LAHORE: Punjab Home Department has finalised security plan for Youm-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Ali (AS), ensuring foolproof arrangements across the province.
According to a notification, security measures will be strengthened on 21st Ramadan, with additional personnel deployed at mosques, seminaries, imambargahs, shrines, processions, and religious gatherings.
Police and other concerned departments have been instructed to implement strict security protocols for mourning processions, majalis, and public congregations.
The provincial home department has also directed strict enforcement of restrictions on firearms possession and display across Punjab. The speakers and religious leaders have been warned against delivering objectionable speeches targeting other sect.
The authorities have been ordered to enforce Punjab Sound System Regulation Act 2015, with strict action against violations.
