Senators stresses on teaching of constitutions in all military academies

ISLAMABAD: Senate members criticized the military dictators and also demanded for bringing back the former dictator Pervez Musharaf and make sure that he takes punishment from the court for their crimes.

Senators also suggested it is very important that courses of constitution and its importance for the country should also be taught in the military academies in Pakistan.

PML-N Senator Chaudhry Tanvir moved a motion for the discussion on the need and importance for creating awareness among masses about the laws and constitution of Pakistan.

Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the former dictator Zia-ul-Haq once said that Constitution is merely a document of 15 pages and he tears apart it according to his wish and politicians followed him for their wishes.

Senator Babar added that Musharaf said that constitution is not important and important is government security. Once he the dictators have this kind of thoughts than what is left in the importance of constitutions, he added.

He demanded anyone (dictator) destroy the constitution, they should be punished under the article 6 of the constitution and also demanded probe of Musharaf landing in Hospital in Rawalpindi instead of appearing before the court.
