KABUL: Senior Taliban Commander, Mullah Shafiq was killed in the clashes with Afghan security forces in Jawzjan province of Afghanistan early Sunday morning.
Mohammad Reza Ghafoori, spokesman of governor has said that groups of Taliban fighters in the leadership of Mullah Shafiq attacked the security check-posts in Shebrghan-Mazar highway.
He added that the deceased Mullah Shafiq was involved in different terrorist activities against government forces in Faizabad district in the province and he was trying to destabilize the district.
He did not provide further details on the report.
