Seven-member family killed in road accident

OKARA : Seven members of a family were killed on Sunday when a speeding bus crushed a car in which they were travelling while four others injured.

According to eye witnesses, the accident happened on the GT Road near Akhtarabad when the bus driver hit the car coming from opposite direction in an attempt to save a rickshaw.

The police and rescue teams reached the site and removed the bodies and the injured to the THQ Hospital.

Rescue officials said two children and two women were among the dead.

The family was reportedly heading toward Pakpattan from Lahore.
