FAISALABAD: A seven year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered in Islampura area of Faisalabad on Monday.
Police registered a case against unidentified suspects for raping and then killing a seven-year-old girl.
The residents of the area found the body of the victim, identified as Mubashira, from the nearby field after she went missing yesterday. Later, the body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
According to CCPO, torture marks were found on the girl’s body and adding that some animal ate part of her body.
The City police station registered the FIR under sections of abduction, rape and murder following the complaint lodged by the minor’s father.
The people start protest against it and shops and markets are closed in the area and demanding action against the culprits.
Earlier on March 28, body of a 25-year-old woman, Abida Ahmed, who was a student of MA in English at Faisalabad Government College University, was recovered from a stream from the same area.
An autopsy report showed that the girl was killed after being tortured. A police case has been registered while there is no development on it.
