Shahid Kapoor signs another film with Shree Narayan Singh
MUMBAI: After the grand success of Padmaavat, Shahid Kapoor directly went on to shoot his next with Toilet: Ek Prem Katha fame, Shree Narayan Singh.
A social drama, Batti Gul Meter Chalu stars Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam along with Shahid Kapoor in the lead and deals with the high electricity costs in several areas of the country.
Just a week before it’s wrap up, director Shree Narayan Singh, who is mighty impressed with Shahid’s work, revealed that he has already narrated a script to Shahid and the actor too is up for the project.
Confirming the news, Shree Narayan Singh said, “The story is based in the heartland of India. Once the script is ready we will decide when to go on the floors but it will be in 2019 as Shahid has to fulfil all prior commitments as well before starting my film. I can promise that it’s a story no one has attempted before and we are planning it in great detail. Shahid and I are friends now and share a certain comfort level and we luckily found the perfect script,”
Shahid is currently juggling between wifey Mira’s second pregnancy and the final schedule of Batti Gul Meter Chalu, after which he will wind up the Arjun Reddy remake and Raja Krishna Reddy’s film where he plays a boxer.
